Almaden Super Lions Club

Who we are - The San Jose Almaden Super Lions Club, founded in 1956 is a member of the Lions Clubs International - the largest service club organization in the world! Our club is made up of 100% local volunteers who provide services to our local community and spreads throughout the world.

What we do - Each year more than 43 men and women of the Almaden Super Lions Club donate their time and energy to projects that help needy children, adults, and families.

Some of the ways in which we serve include:

¨ Free eye exams and glasses	$ 1,500
¨ Backpacks for school children filled with school supplies	$ 4,000
¨ Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners for needy families, including Christmas gifts for the children	$ 3,000
¨ Diabetes Camp for needy children	$ 1,400
¨ Christmas Party - dinner, entertainment, gifts - for members of the San Jose Blind Center	$ 2,000
¨ Other projects and donations include scholarships, youth exchange, Guide Dogs for the Blind, City of Hope, Diabetes Awareness, Kases for Kids, Leo Clubs, Flag Day, Spinoza Bear, White Cane, and many, many more.	Over $15,000
